Adeboye finally speaks on relationship with APC
After a very long time of silence, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye has finally reacted to allegations that the church is an arm of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Adeboye made the remark during a workers’ meeting at Redemption City along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday
Reacting, he said, “the church remains independent. The church has consistently spoken on national issues, including economic hardship, and maintained that if the Christian Association of Nigeria were to call for a peaceful protest, he would participate.
“I have protested before during the Goodluck Jonathan administration,” he noted.
He further clarified that “while politicians are welcome to attend services at the camp, they would not be allowed to speak or use the altar for campaign purposes.”
