Tinubu, Wike’s supporters clash

The social media is buzzing with President Bola Tinubu and Federal Capital Territory minister, Nyesom Wike’s supporter exchanging verbal missile over which of the two needs the other as the 2027 elections draw closer.

An influencer, OTUNBA tweeting via his handle @ManLikeIcey, triggered the debate when he said: “Without the backing of Tinubu, Nyesome Wike is irrelevant politically.”

Some of his followers suspected to be loyalists of Tinubu and those who dislike Wike concurred while the FCT minister’s supporters reasoned differently.

Wike is loyal and when you are loyal what do you expect?  In politics loyalty is the key. SIM was not loyal and Tinubu can’t work with someone who is not loyal.

I disagree with you. Politically, at the national level, yes, I can go with your claim. But at the sub-national level, it’s false. We saw his tour in January; it was clearly to show other politicians in Rivers State that he is still the boss. Don’t underestimate Wike in Rivers.
