Reno punctures NDC’s claim

Ambassador Designate to Mexico,  Reno Omokri, has kicked against Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) claim that it has over 10 million registered with the party within 24 hours of Peter Obi defecting to the party.
Dr. Adefolaseye Adebayo, South West Coordinator, Obi-Kwankwaso Movement on Arise News had reportedly said “Within 24 Hours of Peter Obi Joining the NDC, Over 10 Million Nigerians Registered with the NDC.
“Many ADC members have defected into the NDC; they obviously know something. The person who has the capability to win the election is Obi.”
discomforted by the remark, Reno argued that it is technologically impossible for the Nigeria Democratic Congress website, as presently constituted, to register 10 million members in 24 hours. “In fact, no single website in Africa has the capability to register 10 million distinct, data-intensive users within 24 hours.”
according to him: “Registering that number of people in 24 hours requires extremely intensive server capacity, especially when processing biometric, biodata, or biographic information. Even ChatGPT took 40 days to register 10 million users. And X (formerly Twitter) has never registered 10 million new users in 24 hours.
“About the only website on Earth ever to reach 10 million registered users in 24 hours or less is Threads, and they only did so because it is owned by Meta (Facebook), which automatically integrated users who were already registered on Instagram and Facebook.” he ended by advising that “perhaps political parties can be more cautious in their claims if they want to be taken seriously by the public.”
