NDC followership on X jumps from 2k to 43.7k after Obi’s defection

National Democratic Congress ((NDC) is fast becoming a household name in a Nigerian politics.
The number of its followers jumped from a little over 2000 to about 44k on X formerly twitter shortly after Peter Obi defected from the African Democratic Congress to the party.
Followers of the former Labour Party in the 2023 presidential election have started celebrating the feat.
Below are their reactions.
Dear NDC party @NigeriaNDCHQ this is to subtly remind you that you had only 2,706 followers before our principal @PeterObi announced he is joining your party, now you are at 34.8k followers and more will follow.
Before you start thinking of shaking your small nyash and giving him instructions, know that we don’t know you exist until Peter Obi joined, so be humble and obey his instructions is that clear ?

Peter Obi has grown the NDC unknown X account to 38.6K accounts in 24 hours!!

Peter Obi is irrelevant but figures don’t lie, the NDC X account was 2K+ followers when Obi joined NDC but now it’s at 36K+ followers in less than 24hours!
