KACRAN commends Buni’s seven years in office, rates performance 99%
The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has praised the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, for what it described as outstanding achievements in governance and national politics over the past seven years.
In a statement issued by its National President, Hon. Khalil Mohd Bello, the association said Governor Buni’s leadership had brought significant development to Yobe State while also strengthening the ruling All Progressives Congress at the national level.
KACRAN noted that Governor Buni’s administration had made remarkable strides in agriculture through the purchase and distribution of tractors, harvesters, fertilizers and other farming inputs, many of which were provided free of charge or at subsidized rates to farmers across the state.
According to the association, the governor also demonstrated commitment to livestock development by establishing a dedicated ministry for the sector and appointing qualified officials to key positions based on merit.
The group further highlighted the administration’s investments in commerce, citing the construction of modern markets in major towns across the state. It said the projects had enhanced business activities and positioned Yobe as an emerging commercial hub in the North-East region, particularly with the anticipated full operation of Gago Airport.
On education, KACRAN credited the governor with improving the state’s educational standards and expanding access to modern learning opportunities, saying Yobe now compares favourably with some of the country’s leading states in the sector.
The association also applauded the administration’s youth and women empowerment programmes, noting that hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries had received employment opportunities and financial support to establish businesses.
Beyond the state, KACRAN described Governor Buni as one of Nigeria’s most influential political figures. The group recalled his appointment as Chairman of the APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee by former President Muhammadu Buhari and his current role as Chairman of the party’s Internal Conflict Reconciliation Committee under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The association said Buni had earned a reputation as a peacemaker within Nigerian politics through his efforts at resolving disputes and fostering unity within the ruling party.
Following what it described as a critical assessment of the governor’s seven years in office, KACRAN concluded that he had performed exceptionally in areas including agriculture, commerce, education and job creation.
The association subsequently awarded Governor Buni a performance rating of 99 per cent, expressing confidence in his leadership and contributions to the development of Yobe State and Nigeria.
