Details of ministers unruffled by Tinubu’s cabinet reshuffle

There has been palpable apprehension in Tinubu’s cabinet following the sack of the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun and his Minister of Housing and Urban Development, counterpart Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa.

Disturbing as the development is among the ministers , there are some who are unmoved by the shake up.  They are confident of retaining their position against all odds.

Top on the list of the overtly confident ministers is former Osun State governor and current minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola.

He is widely said to be Tinubu’s cousin and consequently have nothing to worry about.

Next comes Dele Alake the  Minister of Solid Minerals Development. He was appointed Commissioner for Information and Strategy during Tinubu’s reign as Lagos State governor.

He is said to be in the president’s good book and always enjoys his support.

Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo  the Minister of Interior also loses no sleep each time discussions around sacking ministers comes up.  Among Tinubu’s ministers, the minister of interior enjoys some good support and approval from the citizens.

Nyesom Wike, the  Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, is another minister that for now, can’t be dispensed with by Tinubu.

He has played critical role in muzzling the opposition especially the Peoples Democratic Party which he said will not present  a presidential candidate in 2027 because of lack of funds.

Dave Umahi, the Minister of Works stands among what is described in some quarters as Tinubu’s ministers. He enjoys special attention as he is expected to lead Tinubu’s campaign to whittle down the influence of Peter Obi in the Southeast in the coming election.
