Derecognition of NDC: Dickson speaks on Kwankwaso’s candidacy
Seriake Dickson has announced that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has been successfully uploaded on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal as the vice presidential candidate of the NDC for the 2027 presidential election.
In a post on X, Dickson disclosed that he had visited and held discussions with Kwankwaso, whom he described as the party’s vice presidential candidate.
According to him, Kwankwaso briefed him on what he described as “very positive developments” from his recent engagements and consultations across Nigeria’s North-West region. Dickson also said Kwankwaso informed him that he had concluded his deposition as part of the nomination process.
The former Bayelsa State governor said the meeting confirmed that Kwankwaso’s nomination had been successfully uploaded on the INEC portal, describing it as another step in the party’s preparations for the 2027 general election.
“We remain on course and steadfast in our commitment to the mission ahead,” Dickson said, expressing confidence in the party’s readiness for the presidential race.
He concluded his message with a call of support for the NDC and Nigeria, saying, “Long live the NDC. Long live the Federal Republic o
f Nigeria.”
