Bandits kill six, abduct many, steal offering after attacking Northern church

Bandits on Easter Sunday killed six worshippers and  abducted many others  during an attack on the Ariko community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The attack which took place during a church service occurred in the early hours of the day.

It targeted  two churches—First ECWA Church and St. Augustine Catholic Church, plunging the community into panic.

Residents reported that the attackers arrived in large numbers, surrounded the area, and opened fire on people gathered for worship.

Locals said the bandits surrounded the churches, shot some worshippers, abducted many others, and stole offerings realised from the day’s service.
