The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the list of House of Representatives aspirants who participated in the party’s screening exercise but were not cleared to contest in the forthcoming House of Representatives Primary Election.
In a statement issued by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party said the screening exercise was conducted by its screening committees in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
The APC noted that the exercise formed part of preparations ahead of the party primaries and was aimed at ensuring that aspirants met the requirements for participation in the electoral process.
According to the statement, only aspirants who successfully met the conditions set by the party’s screening panels would be eligible to contest in the primary election.
The party, however, did not provide details on the specific reasons some aspirants were not cleared.
