ADC speaks on alliance with PRP
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed reports suggesting it is in discussions with the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) ahead of an anticipated court ruling, describing the claims as false and misleading.
In a statement, the party said its coalition leadership is not engaged in any negotiations with other political parties at this time. It stressed that its focus remains firmly on challenging what it described as illegal actions taken against its leadership by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and alleged agents of the ruling party.
According to the ADC, overturning these actions through the courts is essential to protecting the rule of law and preserving Nigeria’s multiparty democratic system.
The party acknowledged its openness to broadening its coalition in the future to unite opposition forces but emphasized that it will not abandon its current responsibilities or platform.
