President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on his birthday, describing him as a distinguished academic, technocrat and committed party leader.
Yilwatda, who is also a former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, celebrated his birthday on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
In a congratulatory message issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu commended the APC national chairman for his intellectual depth, experience and dedication to strengthening the party and advancing its political objectives.
The President said Yilwatda’s contributions had continued to enrich the administration of the APC and support efforts to provide effective political leadership at both the party and national levels.
Tinubu particularly acknowledged the APC chairman’s role in strengthening the party’s organisational structures, promoting unity among members and advancing the shared objectives of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He praised Yilwatda for his discipline, dedication and steadfast commitment to the ideals of the APC, noting that the party remained an important platform for democratic governance, national development and progressive politics.
The President also described Yilwatda as a passionate advocate for underserved Nigerians, commending his initiatives and efforts aimed at promoting sustainable development and creating social impact.
“Professor Yilwatda is a passionate advocate for the underserved. I particularly commend his initiatives in advancing policies that drive sustainable development and social impact,” Tinubu said.
The President further expressed appreciation for the APC chairman’s service to the party and the country, saying his contributions to the growth of the party and his commitment to democratic values deserved recognition.
“As you celebrate today, I commend your services to our great party and our nation. Your contributions to the growth of the All Progressives Congress and your commitment to democratic values are worthy of recognition and commendation,” the President stated.
Tinubu prayed for continued good health, wisdom and strength for the APC chairman, urging him to remain committed to serving humanity and contributing to national development.
“I pray that Almighty God grant you more years in good health, wisdom and renewed strength to continue to serve humanity,” the President added.
Yilwatda assumed the leadership of the APC at a period when the ruling party has been working to consolidate its structures and strengthen internal cohesion ahead of future political activities.
His birthday celebration has therefore provided an opportunity for the President to reaffirm his confidence in the APC chairman’s leadership and his contributions to the party’s continued growth.
