Palm Sunday killings: Protest erupts in Plateau

Hundreds of residents in Plateau State on Monday morning poured into the streets, defying a government-imposed curfew to protest the deadly Palm Sunday attack that left several people dead in Jos North Local Government Area.

The protest began at Angwan Rukuba, the site of the attack, and was captured in a live TikTok stream monitored by DAILY POST. Footage from the stream indicated that the demonstration started as early as 9 a.m.

The visibly angry protesters chanted slogans and called for immediate government intervention, arguing that the curfew alone is insufficient to curb the recurring violence in the area.

The live stream also showed that Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, had arrived at the protest location as tensions remained high.
