Chairman of the company, Abdul Samad Rabiu, disclosed this over the weekend during the company’s 2025 Distributors’ Awards held in Lagos. He said the initiative is part of broader efforts to scale operations and meet rising demand.
Rabiu noted that BUA Cement is expanding its production capacity with the addition of Line 6 in Sokoto, alongside plans for a new three-million-tonnes-per-annum plant in Ososo. According to him, these investments are aimed at improving efficiency and ensuring consistent supply across the country.
He described distributors as critical partners in the company’s growth, emphasizing that their role extends beyond sales to supporting socio-economic development nationwide.
“This awards ceremony is to acknowledge the efforts of our distributors who have shown resilience and have grown with BUA Cement Plc over the years through their outstanding performance,” Rabiu said.
He added that Nigeria’s growing population presents significant opportunities for distributors to expand their reach, assuring them of continued support from the company.
At the event, top-performing distributors were rewarded with cash prizes, Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs), and compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks in recognition of their contributions.
The two leading distributors received cash rewards alongside two CNG trucks each, while other top performers were given one truck each in addition to monetary prizes. Ten distributors were also presented with brand-new 2025 Toyota RAV4 vehicles, while regional champions received 900 bags of cement each.
In total, 30 distributors were recognised across four categories: regional champions, pacesetters, powerhouse, and market dominators.
Managing Director of the company, Yusuf Binji, reiterated the company’s commitment to rewarding performance and strengthening partnerships.
“We see you, we value you, and we are working tirelessly to improve our supply chain to make your businesses safer and more profitable,” Binji said.
He added that BUA Cement remains focused on enhancing its value chain and supporting the livelihoods connected to its operations across Nigeria.
