As he don realise say your voice and music no good, he wan change your career. Good for you, OBOun.
Mr. Brownson @bigbrownson
:Davido you’re not worthy of that position. He should have appointed your elder brother to be in that position. You can’t be living a reckless life as a musician and be a Youth leader. Naira Marley tried it and regretted it immediately.
Ricky Anthon @umeanthony75
:Davido you’re not serious atal you have been seeing the insecurity, hunger, unemployment, bad healthcare, bad roads and rise of inflation in the country yet you keep mute, remember these are your supporters and fans who made you who you are today. Be the change you want sir!!!
What has your uncle done for the people of Osun State in his first 4 years please we want to know,if your uncle really do something for people of Osun State then he doesn’t need to campaign again because the things your uncle did for the State will campaign for him.
Congrats Davido! Head of Youth Mobilization for Uncle’s 4+4 re-election. First big Afrobeats star in that role legacy loading. Osun youths, una dey show?
001 don enter politics proper! Head Youth Mobilization loading… Osun youths, make we show! 4+4 straight, Governor Adeleke + Davido combo na fire!
My brother congratulations to you, I am from Osun state and I am rooting for @AAdeleke_01 for re election because he did excellent job for our state

Entertainment industry loses star actor
The Nigerian entertainment industry is in mourning following the tragic passing of beloved Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, who died at the age of 40 after a prolonged battle with cancer. Family sources confirmed that Ekubo passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, after months of illness, as reported by The Sun Nigeria.
Ekubo’s extended absence from the public eye had raised concerns among fans and colleagues alike, as he refrained from social media and public appearances for an extended period. His last Instagram post was made in December 2024, shortly after news broke that his engagement to US-based model Fancy Acholonu had ended.
Upon hearing of his untimely death, tributes from colleagues, celebrities, activists, and fans flooded social media, with many commemorating him as a talented actor and a compassionate friend. Actress Funke Akindele expressed her sorrow in a heartfelt Instagram Story, reflecting on their friendship and saying, “Rest in peace, Alex. I tried to reach out to see you one more time, but I guess you knew best. I will always remember and cherish the good times we shared together.”
Actor Bolanle Ninalowo echoed similar sentiments, stating, “Rest on, Alex. May God heal your family and us all.”
Veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo shared his disbelief, writing, “Life is not only fickle, it can also feel unreal. It deeply saddens me to hear this news. Rest in peace to a truly great soul… Sleep well, our dear Alex.”
Activist Omoyele Sowore praised Ekubo as a “rare talent,” offering condolences to his family and friends while recalling the impact of his performances. “He was a rare talent whose presence lit up the screen effortlessly. May he rest in power,” Sowore wrote on X.
Broadcaster Oseni Rufai and actor Godwin Nnadiekwe also expressed their grief, with Nnadiekwe calling the news “heartbreaking” and reflecting on the loss of a “rare soul,” while human rights lawyer Inibehe Effiong acknowledged Ekubo’s significant contributions to the industry.
Prior to his passing, Ekubo addressed public curiosity regarding his unmarried status, suggesting he was focused on his career rather than hasty commitments to matrimony. His previous engagement with Fancy Acholonu, which gained public attention, was called off in 2021, although she later reaffirmed her love for him in 2023.
Known for his charisma, versatility, and striking presence on screen, Ekubo enjoyed a successful career in Nollywood, starring in numerous hit films and television productions. His untimely death represents a profound loss to Nollywood and the broader Nigerian entertainment community, where he was celebrated as both a gifted performer and a cherished colleague.
