The Nigerian Army has recorded significant operational successes across multiple regions, intercepting suspected terrorist logistics, foiling attacks, and rescuing abducted civilians within the past 24 hours.

According to an operational update released on Monday to the News Agency of Nigeria, troops under Operation Hadin Kai intercepted a truck loaded with large quantities of medical supplies believed to be destined for terrorist groups in the North-East.

The interception took place at a checkpoint in Nguru, Yobe State, where the driver initially presented documentation claiming the cargo consisted of beverages and household items. However, a thorough search uncovered hundreds of cartons containing antibiotics, injections, bandages, and other medical materials.

Security sources said the driver and three passengers were arrested. During interrogation, the driver reportedly confessed that the consignment was headed for the Republic of Chad via Geidam.

In a related operation, troops apprehended a suspected ISWAP/JAS operative in Ngamdu, Borno State. The suspect allegedly admitted he was sent from Jilli to procure food supplies for insurgents and revealed that fighters were gathering around Gubio and Magumeri areas.

Troops also arrested two suspected collaborators in Monguno, accused of aiding the movement of a terrorist’s family members. Recovered items included mobile phones, cash, and personal belongings. Additionally, a woman and her three children, reportedly linked to a terrorist leader, were taken into custody.

Further operations in Askira Uba Local Government Area saw troops thwart an attempted terrorist infiltration. The insurgents were engaged in an ambush and forced to retreat, abandoning weapons and other materials. Follow-up operations led to the rescue of three kidnapped victims from a terrorist hideout.

In Bama Local Government Area, clearance operations resulted in the destruction of a terrorist camp, compelling insurgents to withdraw under sustained military pressure.

Beyond the North-East, troops of Operation Safe Haven in Plateau State recovered weapons during stop-and-search operations and arrested a suspected gunrunner. In Bauchi State, additional kidnapped victims were rescued following intelligence gathered from earlier airstrikes.

In the Federal Capital Territory, soldiers conducting anti-illegal mining operations raided a site in Gwagwalada, recovering mining equipment, while suspects fled the scene.

Meanwhile, in the South-South, troops of Operation Delta Safe responded to a communal clash in Delta State, restoring calm after one fatality was recorded. They also intensified crackdowns on illegal oil activities in Rivers State, dismantling illicit refining sites and recovering substantial quantities of stolen crude oil and refined products.

Military authorities reaffirmed their resolve to sustain offensive operations nationwide, disrupt terrorist supply chains, and enhance security across the country.
