You are moneys, actor tells Igbo attacking Southeasterners supporting Tinubu
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has condemned what he described as attacks on Igbo individuals who support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the forthcoming general election.
He labeled them monkeys and cowards.
The light complexioned actor in a post shared on his X handle, frowned at what he described as selective criticism directed at fellow Igbos, noting that such reactions are often not extended to supporters from other regions.
He urged critics to adopt a more balanced approach in their political engagement, questioning why similar scrutiny is not directed at supporters of the president from other parts of the country.
Edochie added that political differences should not lead to division within the same ethnic group, calling for mutual respect and a broader perspective in national discourse.
He wrote, “Any Igbo man who is dragging his fellow Igbo man for supporting President TINUBU, that person is a monkey and a coward. Show me a video of you dragging Yorubas who are supporting TINUBU.
“Show me a video of you dragging Northerners who are supporting TINUBU. Show me a video of you dragging all the past leaders who couldn’t fix Nigeria. Show me a video of you dragging Northern celebrities who support TINUBU. None. You don’t have the liver to do it. But when it’s your Igbo brother, you’ll rush and set the ring light to drag him. You’re a monkey and a big coward. Shame on you.”
The comments came as political alignments ahead of the 2027 general election.

Ireti Doyle reveals important people allowed to know about her divorce
Actress Ireti Doyle has revealed the important people that are important for her to tell about her discuss her divorce from ex-husband Patrick Doyle.
She disclosed this in an interview with on air personality, Morayo Afolabi Brown. Speaking, Doyle stated that the details of the divorce were private and not for public consumption, emphasising that she only owed explanations to her family and wedding guests.
She criticised the culture of airing personal relationships on social media, stating that the audience does not care and that one cannot win in online disputes.
Doyle emphasised the importance of introspection and healing, advising individuals to focus on understanding what went wrong rather than seeking validation online.
She said, “First of all, you didn’t hear anything because it wasn’t your business. Two people come together to get married, and there’s a celebration. Sadly, something goes wrong, and you can no longer continue your journey together. The only people you owe an explanation to, if at all, are those small family and friends who gathered on day one.
“You see, the larger audience you’re performing for does not care.
I personally would never knowingly give myself up as clickbait. You’re never going to win, so who are you explaining your matter to?
“The end of a long-term relationship, let alone marriage, is painful. Whatever the circumstances, not apportioning blame is painful. You need to spend the energy you’re using to perform for an audience who doesn’t care to sit down, go deep within, understand what went wrong for the sole purpose of not making the same mistake again”.
Ireti Doyle confirmed in January 2023 that she is officially divorced from her husband of nearly two decades, Patrick Doyle. While they separated years prior, reportedly around 2017, the marriage, which began around 2004, was finalised in 2023.
